THE OPPORTUNITY

We are seeking a self‐motivated intern to assist our Executive Director and Deputy Director with general operation tasks including: program development, operations and logistics, communications outreach and social media.

We are looking for someone who is:

Computer literate: Comfortable with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Independent worker / Self‐Starter
Familiar with general office operations
Passionate about the advancement of women in politics

This position will require a commitment of approximately 20 hours per month, and can be flexible to accommodate a class schedule and/or other employment. Availability on all program weekends, and access to reliable transportation are additional requirements.

Emerge is based in Madison, but opportunities to work across the state remotely can also be available.

Required Dates:

Jan. 25-26 Feb. 22-23 Mar. 21-22
Apr. 18-19 May 16 Jun. 12-13

 

COMPENSATION

This internship pays $15/hour. A mileage reimbursement for required travel will also be provided. We are also happy to work with your school to allow you to earn college credit. There is ample opportunity to learn political skills, use social networking, and meet Democratic leaders around the state.

POSSIBLE INTERNSHIP DUTIES

Programs​: Coordinate program logistics and attend programmatic events
Administrative​: data entry and other database work
Communications​: Draft blog posts and update social networking sites like Facebook and Twitter

Emerge is based in Madison, but opportunities to work across the state remotely can also be available.
